Hi! My name is Gail Grenier Sweet, and I'm glad to be here. I live on 10 semi-rural acres in Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin, with my husband, Michael Sweet. My secret name is Marsha Woods (for my two favorite places on earth), my great loves are my family members, my passions are dancing and snorkeling, and my writing mentor is Jack Kerouac. I love the way he captured an era and its people. That's what I try to do with my writing.
Since 1977, I've published articles, essays, poetry, research pieces, music and book reviews in national and international newspapers and magazines. My books include a poetry chapbook (Looking In, Looking Out, 1984); an anthology Pro-Life Feminism: Different Voices, Life Cycle Books, Toronto, 1985), and a personal compilation (Calling All Horses, Little Syndicate, Menomonee Falls, WI, 1993).
In 2011, I published Dog Woman, my first e-Book. You can buy Dog Woman for Kindle on Amazon.
Calling All Horses is a 91-page collection of previously unpublished poetry and favorites from my award-winning syndicated newspaper column. You may order the book by clicking on Order Book or click "Order Book Form" from the menu bar.
