Lists Impossible for my Folks and Brother

[Note:  My parents and brother George died in a car accident in 1978.  I often think of them when I think about new ideas, words, people and products.]

Things my parents and brother never heard of:

        Cloning
            Face transplant
            Embryonic stem cells
            Cholesterol
            IPods
            CDs
            VCRs
            TV screens bigger than 24”
            Cell phones
            Sex scandal in the Roman Catholic Church
            9-11 Twin Towers attack
            Hurricane Katrina
            Global warming
            Hybrid cars

 

Things my parents and brother never had:

         A microwave oven

           

Things my parents and brother never saw:

         A computer
            Grey hair on my head
            Grey hair on Mike’s head
            The face of Charlie older than two years of age
            The face of Brian older than two months of age
            Anna’s face
            All the other grandchildren’s faces
            The first great-grandchild’s face
            For George, his own body and face growing up
            For Mum and Pop, their own bodies and faces growing old
